My home designed 7" monitor speakers, mainly intended for my music production setup.
Initially started as a 10 year anniversary project to my 12" SPL subwoofers from 2007.
It is a basic 2-way enclosure for second hand TB w3-315SE and new Dayton DA175-8 woofers, crossed at 2.5khz
I call them "Half Ghosts" as they reveal everything, with good transparency and good staging, even against a wall.
Finshed the design and sound signature in spring 2019 (just need to solder the crossovers now)
84DB @ 1 wrms, 1 meter
10-40w rms in (recommended)
12db/oct xover at around 2.5khz
42-20000hz (f6) frequency range
I used 9mm multiplex for the enclosure which i got long ago for free.
The woofer has around 8L front L-vented enclosure tuned at ~43hz. the fullrange has 2.5L closed to play in.
Applied 2 sheets of polyester filling for the dampening inside (1.5sheet for woofer, 0.5sheet for fullrange).
I love the sound they produce alot, they match my B&W DM603 S3 speakers very nicely.
